My sister, Kathryn, is a quadriplegic and I've witnessed everything that she has to deal with from heavy doors and bumpy sidewalks to able-bodied people parking in handicapped zones and so much more. I'd gladly give 18 weeks of sore muscles for her not to have to experience that anymore, but since that isn't quite possible yet, I'm hoping that your generous donation will help U2FP continue to improve the lives of those living with paralysis, and fund a future without paralysis.
This is my second marathon and second time running for U2FP. When I'm training or racing I don't listen to music or podcasts, but I love running with my friends and chatting as we run. One of my favorite places to run is the Waterfall Glenn forest preserve. It's beautiful, filled with so much wildlife and I almost always spot a deer or two. I loved my first marathon experience and I can't wait to do it again. The crowd makes the city so energized.

Unite 2 Fight Paralysis is proud to be an official charity team for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon in 2019. Team U2FP is a group of passionate, hard working runners and wheelchair racers committed to racing the 26.2 miles and fundraising to advance research towards a cure for spinal cord injury.
