In a few sentences, describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and whether you have a personal connection to spinal cord injury and paralysis:

Just last year my Uncle Frank had an accident that left him with a spinal cord injury and almost full paralysis from the neck down, so the mission of U2FP is very close to my heart. Funding research and advocacy for those with spinal cord injuries and paralysis gives those impacted hope and a chance at a better recovery. Joining Team U2FP was a no brainer and I am so proud to support this cause!

Is this your first marathon/race? If not, what others have you completed?

This will be my second full marathon! I ran the 2024 Philadelphia Marathon as well as the 2023 Philadelphia Half Marathon and 2025 Asbury Park Half Marathon.

What do you crave after a long run?

I’m always so thirsty and my stomach takes a little time to really ease up so anything liquid! Water, coffee, smoothies, coconut water, protein shakes, you name it.

Do you listen to anything when you train or race? If yes, what?

People think this is so weird but I love running in silence. I try to run the more scenic routes wherever I am so I can enjoy the sounds and sights around me. I live at the Jersey Shore so running along the water is always the best around sunrise! When I’m at the gym I enjoy working out to any music as long as it's high energy – electric, punk, rock, grunge, etc.

What are you most excited and/or nervous about for the marathon?

I am most excited to run such a well known and established race. I’ve never been to Chicago so I will be using the race for some sightseeing as well! I can’t wait to experience the energy that everyone brings (runners and supporters), I know the feeling around the city will be so high all weekend!

As silly as it sounds, I am nervous for the actual 26.2 miles! As much fun as it will be and as much running as I will be doing leading up to it, I know there will be many highs and lows during the race. Which is why I am so happy to be a part of the U2FP team, so when I hit one of those lows I can think about why I am doing this and lean on everyone who is supporting me!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love going to different coffee shops with my partner, Halle! I also have a 5 year old labradoodle (Teddie!) that I rescued who is obsessed with getting outside and loves the beach/swimming in the ocean so we try to bring her lots of places with us. I have also set a goal this year to read at least 2 books every month – and I seem to enjoy doing that (so far)!

Anything else you’d like to share?

Thank you all so much for reading and supporting this cause!
