In a few sentences, describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and whether you have a personal connection to spinal cord injury and paralysis:
I am a physical therapist at a clinic in Sandy, Utah that specializes in outpatient therapy needs for those who have suffered a spinal cord injury or other form of paralysis. I work with incredible, resilient people everyday going through one of the toughest injuries and I know how much they and their families are looking for more solutions and answers to help improve their circumstances. Spinal cord injury research is so important and I know U2FP is doing a great job at spreading advocacy and awareness around research for SCI as well as helping people understand the vast amount of impairments that are a result of a SCI.
Is this your first marathon/race? If not, what others have you completed?
I’ve done multiple trail marathons, trail 50K, and the Surf City Marathon

Something salty. After several hours I normally want something like a burger and fries

Not when I race but I listen to podcasts or up beat music (all random playlists) when I train.
What are you most excited and/or nervous about for the marathon?
I hear this marathon is really fun and an amazing experience. I’m just excited to be in Chicago and experience it as well as support my friend who will be hand cycling.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Being in the mountains with friends and family (skiing, mountain biking, running), being with my kids.
