In a few sentences, describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and whether you have a personal connection to spinal cord injury and paralysis:

Using my first marathon experience as a platform to make a positive impact in the lives of those affected by paralysis is motivation on the training days when I may consider skipping (we’ve all been there).

Is this your first marathon/race? If not, what others have you completed?

This will be my first marathon. I’ve completed 3 half marathons – in Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, and San Diego, CA.

What do you crave after a long run?

CHIPOTLE!! If you know me, you know this is my guilty pleasure.

Do you listen to anything when you train or race? If yes, what?

Podcasts and my running playlist – 11 hours, 30 minutes and counting. I am always taking recommendations.

What are you most excited and/or nervous about for the marathon?

I am equally excited and nervous since this is my first marathon. I’ve never been to Chicago so I’m excited to explore a new city.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love trying new restaurants and playing card games with my husband at our favorite local breweries.
