In a few sentences, describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and whether you have a personal connection to spinal cord injury and paralysis:

I chose to run in support of U2FP for my sister. 16 years ago she suffered a spinal cord injury while training for a mountain climb, something she had done dozens of times. This injury left her with paralysis in both legs. While the injury was certainly life changing, she continues to stay fit, active, and independent, living life to the fullest. She has competed in several marathons in the hand cycle/wheelchair division. My sister is an inspiration to anyone who knows her.

Is this your first marathon/race? If not, what others have you completed? This will be my third marathon. I have run the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon twice.

What do you crave after a long run? Honestly depends on how my stomach is doing after intaking gels. Sometimes a beer, sometimes ice cream! But always my Normatec recovery boots!

Do you listen to anything when you train or race? If yes, what? Some music (mix of classic rock, country and whatever else gives me a burst of energy on long runs), some podcasts, sometimes nothing, just me and my thoughts.

What are you most excited and/or nervous about for the marathon? Always nervous about injury before any race. And so relieved/excited when the race finally begins.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I also run triathlons and duathlons. So when not

training, I love spending time on the beaches in Florida.
