Race: 10 Mile

Race Goal: I would love to break 75 minutes which would crush my PR of 92 minutes that I set in 2019.

In a few sentences, describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and whether you have a personal connection to spinal cord injury and paralysis:

I belong to CrossFit Hopkins and they share space with Fit 4 Recovery which is an adaptive fitness service with 1 on 1 personal training. I see first hand how hard these athletes work and wanted to support the SCI Community.

Is this your first marathon/race? If not, what others have you completed?

This will be my 3rd 10 Mile Race. I’ve raced some half marathons as well but my favorite distance is the 5K. I have never ran a full marathon.

What do you crave after a long race? A big meal!

Do you listen to anything when you train or race? If yes, what?

I don’t listen to music when I race. I want to hear the crowd and be in the moment.

What are you most excited and/or nervous about for the race?

I’m excited to hear all the people on the course cheering and to run with this great community. I’ve been a spectator the last handful of years and now I’m competing which will be fun.

I’m always nervous right before the start the start of the race. Nerves go away eventually.

CrossFit, Running, Reading, Podcasts, Learning Spanish, Spending Time with Friends & Family
