In a few sentences, describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and whether you have a personal connection to spinal cord injury and paralysis:
I chose to run to support U2FP because of my dad, who has a C6 spinal cord injury. I think the advocacy work that U2FP does is incredibly important and has a real impact on the lives of those with lived experience with spinal cord injury both right now and in the future.
Is this your first marathon/race? If not, what others have you completed? I have previously completed a few 5ks, a 10k and a half marathon.
What do you crave after a long race? I really just want a cheese stick and a banana!
Do you listen to anything when you train or race? If yes, what? I usually listen to 80s rock when I run because it’s pretty motivating and upbeat.
What are you most excited and/or nervous about for the marathon? I’m most excited to be running for a cause! I’ve never fundraised for an organization through a race before and I’m excited to use my love of recreation to benefit others.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I love adventuring! I enjoy hiking, cycling, running, listening to and playing music, reading, knitting, spending time with family, and cooking.
