In a few sentences, describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and whether you have a personal connection to spinal cord injury and paralysis:

I was first introduced to U2FP at my gym, Crossfit Hopkins, and the great work Josh does with folks with spinal cord injuries looking to improve their physical fitness. I’m a firm believer that one’s overall health (mental and physical) is rooted in movement, and I hope supporting U2FP can play a (small) role in giving those with SCIs the opportunity to do so.

Is this your first marathon/race? If not, what others have you completed?

I’ve done a handful of marathons and ultramarathons around Minnesota: Twin Cities Marathon (2), Grandma’s Marathon (1), Med City Marathon (1), Missoula Marathon (1), Zumbro Endurance Run (3), Minnesota Voyageur Ultramarathon (1), Eugene Curnow Trail Marathon (2)

What do you crave after a long race?

Coca-Cola, Pizza, and Birkenstocks

What are you most excited and/or nervous about for the marathon?

I’m excited to take a tour of the twin cities and hit the Summit Avenue hill head on!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Relaxing with my dog and exercising/running (typically also with my dog)
