In a few sentences, describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and whether you have a personal connection to spinal cord injury and paralysis:
I have a son with SCI and am passionate about doing what I can to accelerate meaningful restorative treatments for people with SCI
Is this your first marathon/race? If not, what others have you completed? I ran the Chicago Marathon in 2018 and the Twin Cities 10 mile race in 2022
What do you crave after a long race? A massage
Do you listen to anything when you train or race? If yes, what? My crazy mixed up playlist peppered with lots of tunes by my son, Gabriel aka Freaque
What are you most excited and/or nervous about for the marathon? I’m hoping governor Walz is out on the course again this year so I can convince him to come and speak at our symposium
What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Playing music
Anything else you’d like to share? I’m exceedingly grateful to our runners, wheelers, walkers and all our donors who keep us in the race to cure paralysis
