Race Goal: It has been a few years since running the 10 miles, so my goal is to finish!

In a few sentences, describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and whether you have a personal connection to spinal cord injury and paralysis:

I have had the opportunity to learn about and meet some wonderful people at U2FP from working at Courage Kenny. I joined to run in support of U2FP to support people I have met in this organization and to continue this organization's work to fight, advocate, and support individuals with spinal cord injuries. I am honored to join the team and be able to run, which is something I enjoy, and spread the work for the incredible work at U2FP!

Is this your first marathon/race? If not, what others have you completed? This is my second time joining U2FP running the 10-mile race. I ran the race in 2019!

What do you crave after a long race? A glass of chocolate milk, maybe a beer.

Do you listen to anything when you train or race? If yes, what? Yes, I must listen to music, it keeps me motivated to continue running! While I listen to a variety of music while I run, any race I do I always start my playlist with the song: Rather Be by Clean Bandit.

What are you most excited and/or nervous about for the 10-mile? I am excited to join U2FP and run through the Twin Cities. I am nervous about getting a foot blister or cramping during the race.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, playing cribbage, and being outside. However, much of my free time is spent with my newest addition to the family, our Portuguese Water puppy, Lola!
