In a few sentences, describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and whether you have a personal connection to spinal cord injury and paralysis: I do not have a personal connection to U2FP but I learned about it via the marathon. I am honored to support such a worthy organization.
Is this your first marathon/race? If not, what others have you completed? I have completed 8 marathons to-date: New York (x2), Boston, Buffalo, Philadelphia, Wine Glass, Berlin, and London.
What do you crave after a long race? Coca-Cola. I never drink soda except after a long run, when I distinctly crave full-sugar coke.
Do you listen to anything when you train or race? If yes, what? I need music during training, but on race day, I love nothing more than hearing the crowds.
What are you most excited and/or nervous about for the marathon? Most excited for post-race Chicago pizza. Most nervous about miles 20-24!
What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I live in Switzerland and I love nothing more than being in the mountains – skiing in the winter or hiking with my dog in the summer.
