In a few sentences, describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and whether you have a personal connection to spinal cord injury and paralysis:

As an amateur athlete, I have a connection to United 2 Fight Paralysis (U2FP) due to my compassion for the cause and desire to make a difference. I chose to run in support of U2FP because I believe in their mission to advance research towards a cure for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury. While I don't have a personal connection to spinal cord injury and paralysis, I want to contribute to a cause that can make a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by paralysis.

Is this your first marathon/race? If not, what others have you completed?

No, this is not my first marathon. I have completed three marathons so far, including the Miami Marathon(3:18), Mexico City Marathon(3:21), and California International Marathon(2:57).

What do you crave after a long race?

After a long race, what I crave the most is a cold beer, pizza, and some good rest.

Do you listen to anything when you train or race? If yes, what?

I don't usually listen to music when I train, but on race day, I like to create a special playlist to help me stay motivated and energized.

What are you most excited and/or nervous about for the marathon?

I am most excited and a bit nervous about this marathon because it's my first major race, and I really want to beat my personal best time. Prove that I’m always capable of more.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, playing football, watching sports, and exploring new places in nature.

Anything else you’d like to share?

Lastly, I want to share that running has brought so much to my life, both physically and mentally. It has been a transformative experience that has helped me push my limits and overcome challenges. As Kristin Armstrong said: “There is something magical about running; after a certain distance, it transcends the body. Then a bit further, it transcends the mind. A bit further yet, and what you have before you, laid bare, is the soul.”
