In a few sentences, describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and whether you have a personal connection to spinal cord injury and paralysis:
After looking for foundations that collaborate with the Chicago Marathon, a Foundation that fights against Paralysis seemed important to me, since our sport precisely requires great mobility and is somewhat limiting for some conditions. In my particular case, I thank God every day for being able to walk, work, and train, but I understand that there are many people who have to spend their lives with a disease like Paralysis. Hopefully my humble and small contribution will serve to support from my position in studies and developments to finally find a definitive or partial cure for patients.
Is this your first marathon/race? If not, what others have you completed? I have completed 13 Marathons
What do you crave after a long race? Celebrate with my daughter, my family and my friends.
Do you listen to anything when you train or race? If yes, what? I listen to dance music, I plan playlists for every race that put me in the right mood.
What are you most excited and/or nervous about for the marathon? Every Race seems to me important, that’s why I feel a little bit nervous. It's a long distance and in this particular race I will be running alone, without friends, and my family will not be waiting for me by the end of the race.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Running, spending time with my daughter, cooking, playing piano.
Anything else you’d like to share? One of my dreams is to complete the Abott Six Majors Marathons. I have completed only one: NYC, in 2021, so this is my second race of the circuit.
