Where do you live? Montana

In a few sentences, tell us about the course you've chosen or designed for this year's Freestyle Challenge event: This year I will be attempting to swim the length and back of Dickey Lake. The total distance will be about 4 miles.

Describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and your personal connection to the spinal cord injury and paralysis community: I am an advocacy manager and podcaster for U2FP.

What is your fundraising goal? $5000

How far are you planning to go? I will try to swim 4 miles of open water.

What is your goal time for that distance? I'll shoot for 4-5 hours.

What do you crave after training? I don't have any particular cravings. If anything, I have less of an appetite!

Do you listen to anything when you train? I will be this year. Long distance swimming can be a boring endeavor, so I picked up some waterproof headphones. I'll likely listen to podcasts. Although today, it was the White Stripes Spotify station.

What makes you nervous or excited about U2FP's Freestyle Challenge? Open water swimming can have its challenges, among them, drowning and getting run over by watercraft, especially when you can only use your upper body. I will be training with a high visibility safety tow and mostly along the shore of the lake. On the day of the challenge, I will be accompanied by a family member or friend in a kayak to mitigate the risks.

Fun Facts - tell us something unique or interesting about you? I just completed a 620 mile hand cycle ride in Canada with a fellow paralyzed buddy.
