In a few sentences, tell us about the course you've chosen or designed for this year's Run-Walk-Roll event: Over the course of the weekend, I am going to walk around all of the lakes in the Chain of Lakes in Minneapolis - Cedar Lake, Lake of the Isles, Bde Maka Ska, and Lake Harriet!
Describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and your personal connection to the spinal cord injury and paralysis community: I started working with U2FP in January of 2021, and have only grown more impressed by our uniqueness as an organization and the passion of the community. I feel energized by the creativity, empathy, and persistence involved in working towards our mission.
What is your fundraising goal? $1,000
How far are you planning to go? About 10 miles
What is your goal time for that distance? One weekend :)
What do you crave after training? A frosty IPA
Do you listen to anything when you train? Usually true crime podcasts!
What makes you nervous or excited about the Run-Walk-Roll? I'm nervous I'll get distracted by wanting to swim in the lakes…
Fun Facts - tell us something unique or interesting about you? I'm from Portland, Oregon, and have driven back to visit my family there three times in the past year and a half! The drive is 30 hours each way, but I spend the nights in cool free campsites and visit beautiful places along the way.
