In a few sentences, describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and whether you have a personal connection to spinal cord injury and paralysis: My husband is a C6-C7 quadriplegic. Since his car accident 45 years ago, he continues to collaborate with great organizations like U2FP in its mission to find a cure for paralysis. We are on this journey together.

Is this your first marathon/race? If not, what others have you completed? This will be my first race.

What do you crave after a long run? A cold watermelon

Do you listen to anything when you train or race? If yes, what? I prefer to enjoy and connect with nature when I’m running outdoors. I listen to an audiobook or Christian music when I’m indoors.

What are you most excited and/or nervous about for the marathon? I’ve never done a race before, I’m a little nervous but excited and driven knowing I’m doing this for a good cause.

What is an interesting or unique fact about yourself (or anything else you’d like to share)? I love music. I’m always humming or singing a tune to myself, even if I don’t realize it. I always have a song stuck in my head. I also enjoy playing music with my kids. We like to put a little concert together for family and friends. We all play different instruments; I can do basic guitar.
